RSS (most commonly expanded as RDF Site Summary and Really Simple Syndication) is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works in a standardized format. It is based on XML, from which it inherited simplicity, extensibility and flexibility.
An RSS document includes full or summarized text, plus metadata such as publishing dates and authorship. Web feeds benefit publishers by letting them syndicate content automatically.

There are various news aggregation solutions, depending on the computer, the system and, in some cases, the browser.
